Life seems pretty crazy right now with everything, but it is beyond awsome. I am in Alaska right now and have been non stop. Me and a bunch of buddies went shredding last week and on Sunday I was able to take the Crosswinds Youth Group out shreddin and it was awsome. I dont have a bunch of time but I have added a bunch of pictures and there is many new videos coming soon also. I will update later when I have time. But the last month of my life has been the best month ever and life to come is gonna get pretty crazy. J-hosh So on to the new year... I have many resolutions and have made a list to carry in my bag so every time I open it I am reminded. I also made a list for the front door so every morning I see and am reminded that I really want to make these things happen. I am in AK for the last night and am ready to leave. I had some epic shred trips with some good friends but I am ready to move on and see what life has in hold for my next adventure. I will return to AK over the next few months to finish my boss's house and get some shred time in. I have built up fly time with some friends over the last couple years and have for the next 10 years a free adventure into the Amazing mountains of AK. This includes passage for a friend or two as well so it was well worth the work I traded for it. This year is already full but who ever wants to make a shred trip in the years to come...epicness is open Im not sure where I will end up with life in the future....but i am planning on making the next years of my life super rad. I am going to work hard and play harder then I ever have. I have many resolutions for the coming year but the first thing I am doing is a 21 day fast called the Daniel Fast. I have had many things happen to me in the past year/years and I feel like this is something I really need to do. My other resolutions are * learn spanish * read and study my bible every day * get back into climbing in the desert with the rattle snakes, and pigs * work out with my travel kettle bell daily * get 100% out of debt * travel to another country on a missions trip and well I could go on and on but this is the main list that I see I can truly do in the next year so with faith and a little will power it will happen. Take 2011 as a change for yourself.. we all have something even if its only us that knows it that we want to change about ourselves. So I got down to AZ on Monday and went back to work. I was up for about 48 hours straight between travel and work. the last couple nights I have crashed super hard from all the time changes, altitude drops and gains. But I really think my body is adjusting to this crazy life. We are making super good time on the project we are working on but we have to take 2 wks off for Christmas. Looks like Im gonna be back in AK for part of it to work on my boss's house and the other I will be back in AZ climbing with by bro crazy nick. I think my knee is healed enuf to shred again in AK and do some climbs with nick. Its still pretty sore but with the brace Im all good, just cant go to my full extreme self. I put together the longboard and went for a ride to see how the knee held up, well it didn't fall off, so Im going for a adventure around Tuscon tonight and hopefully dont run into any boarder jumpers that want my board.... So today I get to go back to AZ for work. I destroyed my knee last weekend and have not been able to shred and dont know when I will be able to. Not to happy about this at all. Looks like I am going to have to have surgery at some time this year if I want to have full motion again... not cool at all. I ended up staying in AK longer then I expected for work and not sure when I will be back but sounds like its going to be a random monthly thing. I was able to sell a bunch of my stuff while I was here and hopefully threw craigslist I can sell the rest. It sounds like I am going to AZ for two months on and off and then possible will be in a different city every 3 days for 4 or 5 months building the Matrix. Crazy Nick will be down in the next two weeks and we are planning on climbing the crap out of AZ while he is there. Well just wanted write a little... will write more later. Ill be on a plane for the next day so I am going to have tons of time to get back at working on EPICALITY. So I flew up to AK to do some shredding and see some friends Friday night. I left Arizona where it was 75 deg out and flew into a massive blizzard in AK. Saturday it was full blue bird so we went out to Alyeska to shed the POW. We rode all day and ended up doing a trick contest between 5 of us. One guy would pick the trick and then whoever did the biggest won bragging rights. I had been riding all day super hard. It was time to do a shifty(basically jumping and shifting your board one way and then back straight for landing) and in mid air my stupid knee popped back out. This is a injury I did last year but have not had issues for almost a year. So Shredding for me was done and I could not ride down the mountain. It was either have ski patrol give me VIP ride down or hike back up to the tram and go down. Stubborn me choose to hike back up so I did not have to pay for a ride. Well now my shred trip is done in AK and probable for a minute on top of that. I am fine but eventually am going to have to have surgery to fix my knee so this does not happen again..... Well that was my trip to the AK. I am just glad I was not in the backcountry when this happen cause that would have been super bad. So I am traveling a bunch with this job and am going to probable start some journals during waiting at airports and everywhere. In the last month I have gone from Alaska to Colorado. Colorado to Arkansas. Arkansas to Colorado. And Colorado to Arizona. My brain and body are very confused between time changes, elevation and no sleep. But I think I will be in Arizona for at least 20 days to 2 months. So I was in Little Rock, Arkansas last week for Thanksgiving to see my friends Gabe, Jessi and there new addition Ari for the first time in years. it was super awesome seeing them again. I flew back to Colorado Sunday, drove back to my place in Castle Rock and packed my stuff. Monday morning I flew to Tucson Arizona and will be continuing the matrix. I am in training still and have so many drawings and different things being thrown my way. My brain is kinda on overload with everything going on in my life I have only been in Arizona for a day but am pretty excited with the job and there are actually mountains real close to go climbing and even shred some az snow eventually. I can go from shorts and a t-shirt to full snow gear in the matter of a couple hrs. At least I don't have to worry about hitting a moose but instead have to watch for boarder jumping mexican's. ha. Maby I will see one shredding on the mountain. It's about 10 miles to our job so I found a cheap mountain bike that I'm gonna ride to and from work to keep myself in shape. We are staying in a hotel for a few days until the housing is finalized but it is a pretty nice hotel so that helps. Hopefully I can meet some people to hang with when I'm not working but if not my editing will do. Well that's it for my random ramblings. I have a lot of time to kill here and there so this helps kill it fast. J-hosh so this page is super new and probably confusing and full of randomness...... welcome to the life of J-hosh. I am still working on it and its gonna take some time... So on another note i'm in Colorado for another week.... then I'm going to little rock, Arkinsas to visit some friends for Thanksgivng... GOBBLE GOBBLE. I get back Sunday (to Colorado) then I'm off to Arizona for a minute to continue the Matrix.... I recently if you did not know moved for a new job/new career. Pretty big choice and I still don't know if it was the right one. But I love my new job and the people I work with are super awsome. I am working for R Orange Engineering and will be traveling a bunch with the new job, a few places will be Colorado, Arizona, California, AK and some more to be unknown. I met the owner in Alaska a couple years ago and he is a very awsome guy and treats all his employees very well. I am planning on being in North Dakota for Christmas and I may be in AK around new years at some point to get my things and sell them... I really miss Alaska and everyone I know up there but also have wanted to be based in the lower states for quite some time. I plan on eventually buying some land again in AK, that way I always have a reason to go back. But anyways after Christmas time I will go back to Arizona till X GAMES in Colorado in January. If you want to meet up for X GAMES let me know. Life right now for me is crazier then it has ever been in my life. But really when has my life not been crazy I guess. well thats a quick little update on my life. I will keep posting random stuff. If you want to be on my update email list let me know..
